It was also the best record compiled in the team's history (since surpassed only by a 15–1 mark in 2004) They went on to defeat the Broncos 33-10 in the Divisional Playoffs, the Oilers 34-5 in the AFC Championship game and the Dallas Cowboys 35-31 in Super Bowl XIII
